Dinoflagellates cause lots of problems, one of which is the Red Tide. The Red Tide is a phenomenon thats also called an algae bloom. Which is a large about of a microorganism, such as the dinoflagellates. And they take a color of red or a reddish-brown.
Red tides are events in which estuarine, marine, or fresh water algae accumulate rapidly in the water column, resulting in coloration of the surface water. It is usually found in coastal areas. It caused neurological damage to humans, and it gets into things like clams tissues and toxicates them. it cannot be prevented because it is an algae bloom.
